Skytronics and Beaver Aerospace & Defense to showcase total lifecycle support for
flight control components at MRO Americas 2011
El Segundo, California – Skytronics, Inc., a subsidiary of Phillips Service Industries (PSI), will showcase its FAA overhaul and repair capabilities for commercial and military aircraft actuation systems and ball screw assemblies at MRO Americas 2011. During these uncertain economic times, MRO personnel who oversee the operation of commercial and military aircraft must develop effective cost-management strategies to maintain their fleets. Established in 1956, Skytronics has been an FAA-approved Repair Station for over 50 years, and also holds approvals from the EASA, CAAC and Boeing. In addition, Skytronics holds licensed parts manufacturing authority (PMA) on stabilizer ball screws for Boeing 747/737/727/707 aircraft.

Phillips Service Industries Acquires Skytronics, Inc.
Livonia, Michigan – Phillips Service Industries, Inc. (PSI), a global manufacturing and service corporation that serves a wide variety of industries with its diverse collection of technology-based companies, announced today that it has acquired Skytronics, Inc., a leading aviation manufacturer and maintenance repair organization located in El Segundo, CA.
Skytronics carries a complete inventory of new, repaired and overhauled ball screws, alternators, regulators and ignition harnesses for general aviation and/or commercial aircraft, all approved by the FAA/JAA. Skytronics also overhauls transmissions and gearboxes for 727/737 aircraft that utilize flaps and stabilizers.
The Skytronics acquisition further expands PSI's reach into the aerospace market. Other PSI subsidiaries that serve the aerospace industry include Beaver Aerospace & Defense, Sciaky, Inc., Mountain Secure Systems, Evana Automation Specialists and PSI Repair Services.
